Schedule
The Show Love quilt can easily be made in one day. It may look complicated but I’m telling you it is simple and quick! Follow the simple sewing schedule below and you will have a top completed at the end of two weeks.
WEEK 1: Gather fabric and cut all pieces
WEEK 2: Sew sections and assemble quilt. Quilt and Bind if you can!
Don’t let this schedule hold you back. If you are ready to make your Show Love quilt now, then dive right in, take lots of photos as you go, and post pictures during the quilt a long.
As an added bonus, I will be throwing in some challenges encouraging us to show love to the people around us. I believe quilters are some of the kindest people, but we can all use a little boost every now and then.
About the Quilt
When I designed the Show Love quilt, I was inspired by typographical artwork. I wanted to create a quilt that had the same vibe as many posters I have seen. This quilt is more rectangular than most quilts because it is designed to look like a poster. Because of it’s shape it makes a great wallhanging!
While it may look complicated to make, this quilt is actually very easy and sews up really fast. Can you make this quilt if you have never made a quilt before? I believe you can! Follow the tips below for extra help.

What You Need
Purchase the pattern HERE. All of my patterns will be 25% off until Feb. 14 2020.
Fabric requirements are listed below. The mini and baby versions of this quilt make great stash busting projects!
Please keep in mind that when using directional prints, you may need more fabric than indicated.
Tips and Tricks
- Starch Your Fabrics: I usually buy Faultless Premium Starch. It’s available everywhere. I layout my pieces of fabric and spray them with starch, let the dry, and iron them. Sometimes I repeat the process one more time. I do this before I cut out my pieces.
- Pin Pin Pin! Use pins every 3-4 inches for optimal accuracy!
- When sewing the skinny strips together for the striped section, go slow, and alternate which side you start each seam from. This will help keep the strips from bowing.
- Careful Pressing: Please, please, please press every seam as you go. You will much happier with your finished product! Careful not to drag your iron across your fabric as it can stretch and skew your pieces.
Show Love Challenge
As a part of the quilt along, and as extra encouragement around Valentines Day, I will be issuing a challenge to show love to yourself and others. Let’s share with each other the kindness we share and feel as we cheer each other on.
